Godspell is a modern day retelling of the New Testament parables from The Gospel according to St Matthew. Conceived and originally directed by John-Michael Tebelak, with music and new lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, Godspell is one of the biggest off-Broadway and Broadway successes of all time. Godspell features a sparkling score through which the parables of Jesus Christ come to life. The production is a reflection on the life of Jesus and sees a fragmented community come together through messages of kindness, tolerance and love.
